FBI Reading Program
Family Book Involvement

The FBI Program is a take home book program created by the Third Grade teachers of the Wood School to bring families together through books and reading. Funded primarily by the generosity of the PTO, the program consists of a leveled trade book and a "mission," an activity that correlates with the book. Students will bring home a briefcase that holds the book and "mission" on Monday. They will then be given a week to read the book and complete the corresponding activity. Parents are encouraged to read and discuss the book of the week with their child and support their child as the child completes the activity. The following Monday students will bring back their briefcase and completed project to share with their class.
All books have the supplies included to complete the "mission" so as to ensure that all children have the ability to participate regardless of available resources.
The program will run from January until early June.
